What is IT Asset Disposition?
IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) is the secure, documented process of retiring IT equipment at the end of its life. It covers collection, data erasure or destruction, reuse or remarketing where possible, and certified recycling of what remains.
What is Certified Data Destruction?
Certified data destruction makes the information on a device permanently unrecoverable, through verified erasure or physical destruction. It is evidenced by a certificate that identifies the device, usually by serial number, together with the method used and the date.
